Let's Start at the Very Beginning...A Very Good Place to Start

Well, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that it's been a while since I've made it over to the 'ole blog. My life right now is no longer a flood, Praise the Lord! So let me catch all you peeps up on what's been going on with the Maynards in Mississippi. Instead of trying to recap the past (ahhemm 7-8 months), which will overwhelm me and you, I will catch you up in parts.

So, since my last post was about our flood and how we were without a home, it's only fitting to share with you about our new humble abode. :) Hunter and I started on our search for real estate back around July, and of course it took me forever to make a decision about where we needed to be and what we needed to buy. But of course I didn't have to...the Lord intervened and closed many doors (literally) on houses that we didn't need to be in. Finally, we found an adorable home in the Windstone neighborhood. We have a neighborhood lake and 2 neighborhood pools. It's a great subdivision for walking (thank you sidewalks) and there are lots of young couples who live here. WE could not be more blessed with finding our home. It has been so fun actually having storage closets and feeling like we are settled. I'm pretty sure I have been living in a suitcase since umm my freshman year in high school. So of course I feel extremely blessed to feel settled and have one home.

Of course, we are still in the process of painting, furnishing, and dreaming about all kinds of other projects (that will be blogged about on a future date). But so far we love our home and can't wait for all of the memories we will create here.

So, I'll leave you with a picture of us on the day that we got it. Here she is in all her glory, and two youngsters terrified about making mortgage payments :)
