Random Ramblings

This past weekend was a great weekend to get things done and check home to-do's off our list. My handsome husband was studying all weekend for another one of his insurance licensing exams (this is #4 of who knows how many). I don't even have documented proof of his hermitness because I (or Drummer) wasn't allowed in the office. We did take the time for lunch dates ;)

So that meant that I got busy working on projects for the house. Our newly covered chair and ottoman were delivered on Saturday morning and it felt like Christmas! I have been waiting for 6 weeks for that puppy. And I LOVE IT! I am so pleased with how it turned out. I had convinced myself that it would be perfect in a 13 year old's lime green room, but it was just great. I will post pictures of the new beauty soon. After that, it was on to building a headboard for our room. I have been coveting this one from Pottery Barn, but at a whopping $599 for just the headboard, I decided to make one for about $40. I may move it down a little, but here she is..

Sophie and I both made one, and she made one for her apartment for this year. It was super cute and soft. Oh, and to borrow the wise advise from my friend Martha, I used a canvas drop cloth from HOME DEPOT as my fabric. Yep, that's right and it was only about $9. I have plans to maybe monogram the headboard or put in some nail heads, but for now I am pleased with how it turned out.

Also, we got this cute little green table for our den. (sorry for the horrible iphone pics)

And then the weekend would not be complete if it weren't for my newest cravings to keep me company. I seriousy am ravinous for these 3 things right now. If someone doesn't help, I may start hoarding them in my office, purse, and car...or maybe I already have...

Well, off to eat more candy...Hope everyone had great weekends!
