Meet the Maynards

With a little inspiration from my good friend Martha, I decided to start a blog following the adventures that Hunter and I have as newlyweds. I have little expectation for what this will look like or the topics that I will blog about, however, I hope that it can be a way for friends and family who all live in different cities to keep up with what is going on around the Maynard household.

So...before we get into the happenings around our humble abode and in our blessed lives, here is a little intro into who we are.
Hunter and I got married this past summer on August 15, 2009 in Memphis, and could not be happier. Life is so wonderful and we are so blessed by God's goodness to us. We are living in Jackson, MS while I am finishing my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and Counseling at Reformed Theological Seminary. I absolutely love what I do, and I love meeting with all types of people in all different stages of life struggling will all different kinds of problems. It is so rewarding ministering to hurting people on a daily basis and simply getting to love on them. I love getting to spill over some of the hope and trust that I have in the Lord into other people's lives who may not know that same hope. I am daily reminded how inadequate I am and how powerful and wonderful our great God is.

My sweet hubby is working in property management with a company called Diversified Maintenance. He gets to travel around the South meeting with people and working with them to make sure their stores are running smoothly. He is so good at working with people and managing his stores.

We are loving working on our little place (hopefully projects which I will blog about) and cooking together and doing fun things together. We are learning new things about ourselves and each other that we have never known before. We are getting a bigger and fuller picture of what God's relationship is like with us every day simply by being married and living in covenant with each other. God is so good!

So welcome into our little Maynard lives...I will leave you with a picture of our home. More pictures to come later!
